More from issue #1

Meant to post this last week, but thing have turned all hectic on me. Part of the reason for the hecticity is the impending Wizard World Texas comic convention this weekend. I will be there vending my wares, so if you're planning on going you should come find me in the Artist Alley.

3:45PM - Politically InQueerect #1 page 10

For a variety of reasons I've decided the time has come to post some of the material that was exclusive to the minicomics. Mostly because I'd like as many people as possible to be able to read it, and also because I'm ditching the minicomic format in favor of POD graphic novels and need some time to put the first PIQue collection together. So, thus begins the serialization of the backup story from issue #1:

Cut for extra-mild nakedness )

Tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 3) I'm going to be vending the feeps and the comics at the OUTer Film Fest, Austin's own queer sci-fi/fantasy/horror extravaganza. If I am unmistaken it's free to attend, so really you have no excuse not to go. Unless you do not find the concept of gays in space to be amusing, in which case all I can say is fine, BE that way. It's at the Austin Film Studios - click the link for times and directions and all that.

9:01AM - Politically InQueerect: Bow Tie page 1

What on earth is this, and why am I working on it instead of PIQue #3? The short answer is because this was a lot faster to crank out, and I could work on it away from home, so I did. And anyway, it's only two pages, so it's not like it's a huge time suck. I haven't decided yet what to do about the coloring/shading, so for now you get the inks.

In other news, I'm in two art shows this month (both group shows, both in Austin), about which you can learn more here.
